What is the contest format?

AM divisions:
4 man heats, 2 advance, 15 minutes, 20 minute Finals

Pro division:
4 man heats, 2 advance, 20 minutes, 25 or 30 minute Finals

What is the judging criteria?

ASP Judging Criteria
A surfer must perform radical controlled maneuvers in the critical section of a wave with Speed, Power, and Flow to maximize scoring potential. Innovative/ Progressive surfing as well as Variety of Maneuvers, will be taken into consideration when rewarding points for waves ridden.
The surfer who executes this criteria with the Maximum Degree of Difficulty and Commitment on the waves shall be rewarded with higher scores.

Scale base:
(0-2: Poor) (2-4: Fair) (4-6:Average) (6-8: Good) (8-10: Excellent)

What time do I need to be at the contest?
All competitors should be at the beach by 7:00am to check-in and see when their heat will be going out. It is your responsibility to get to the beach on time and get this information.

Can I beach enter?
Only if there are spots available. If you do beach enter, your entry may be subject to an additional fee.

When Do I need to get my entry form in?
if your entry is not received by the Wednesday prior to the event, you must beach enter. Only cash is accepted at the event site.

How much is the entry fee?
Pro division $140 and $160 beach entry.
All Am divisions $50 and $60 beach entry.

Is there a membership fee?
